ABOUT Shoes For Crews
Over 30 years ago, our founder Stan Smith noticed a rise in workplace injuries caused by slip and falls and discovered a need to create a solution that would eliminate the problem. In 1984, the Shoes For Crews brand was formed, and our slip-resistant outsole technology was invented. Since then, we’ve protected millions of workers and lowered workers’ compensation costs for thousands of businesses across the globe. Today, Shoes For Crews is the industry standard and trusted leader in safety footwear solutions for more than 150,000 companies around the world. We are committed to providing carefully crafted footwear for your entire team to ensure that they are protected every step of the way!
Comfort, Style & Quality to Keep You Happy
Where Safety & Comfort Unite
Comfort is just as important as safety in a work shoe. We are constantly developing innovative solutions to improve the comfort of our shoes to keep your employees on their feet and performing at their highest potential. The three key areas that separate us from the competition are:
- TREAD DESIGN
- PROPRIETARY COMPOUNDS
- MANUFACTURING PROCESS
Year after year, SFC footwear far exceeds the most stringent worldwide standards in slip resistance.
IN SHORT, IT WORKS.
SAFETY | COMFORT | VALUE | STYLE
Shoes For Crews’ proprietary brands include Shoes For Crews, Ace Work Boots, MOZO and Lila. We also partner with top footwear brands, offering New Balance, Dockers, Dansko, DeWalt, Cole Haan, Puma and Carolina Boots – with all styles featuring our pioneering SFC outsole technology.
We committed to SFC due to increased frequency and severity of workers’ compensation injuries. During the past 2 policy periods prior to Shoes for Crews we had $600,000 in losses as a result of slips and falls with an average of 24 annual claims. We are 40 days away from completing our insurance policy period. We have had only 1 minor slip and fall incident whereby an employee slipped on an icy sidewalk as she was entering the facility. Without a doubt, SFC has made a significant impact in terms of reducing and preventing slips and falls in the workplace as we haven’t had to spend even a dollar since implementation. We are very happy with the results that have been produced. I recommend SFC be part of any company’s slip and fall prevention program.
